NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL (MSN) WORKING VISIT TO SUNGKAI NATIONAL WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTRE (NWRC), PERAK
National Sports Council (MSN) led by YBhg. Dato' Ahmad Shapawi bin Ismail, Director General (DG) of the National Sports Council paid a working visit to the National Wildlife Rescue Center (NWRC) Sungkai, Perak on 26 May 2022.
Their arrival was welcomed by YBhg. Dato' Fakhrul Hatta bin Musa, Deputy Director General (Conservation), YBrs. Hj. Yusoff bin Shariff, State Director of PERHILITAN Perak and YBrs. Dr. David Magintan, Head of the National Wildlife Rescue Center (NWRC).
During the visit, MSN was briefed on the function and roles of the NWRC as a centre for endangered wildlife species rescued from injury, smuggling and confiscation, and in Peninsular Malaysia. The visit also provided exposure to the MSN on the importance and uniqueness of the Malayan Tiger species which is used as the logo of the National Emblem.
The visit was also attended by YBrs. Mr. Suhardi bin Alias, Deputy Director General (Sports Development Sector), YBrs. Hj. Abdul Rashid Yaakub, Deputy Director General (Commercialization and Marketing Sector), athletes and staff from the National Sports Council (MSN).
