OFFICIAL VISIT OF MINISTER OF ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES TO NATIONAL WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTRE (NWRC), PERAK
The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, YB Dato ' Dr.ShamsulAnuar bin Hj. Nasarah under took an official visit to the National Wildlife Rescue Centre (NWRC), Perak on 6 July 2020.
He was briefed on the function of NWRC that was established under the International Trade in Endangered Species Act 2008 [Act 686]. NWRC was established as a centre to house rescued wildlife species from injuries, smuggling activities, seizure and surrender in Peninsular Malaysia. It is to fullfil the national obligation as a member of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
