1. Are there any fee charged to visit and carry out activities at National Elephant Conservation Centre in Lanchang, Pahang?
Visit and carry out activities with the elephant in national Elephant Conservation Centre is free until then. However, you can donate to fund provided by the Department.
2. How do I go to Kuala Gandah from Kuala Lumpur by my own transport?
Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, Pahang, is about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur on the KL-Kuantan East Coast Highway. Exit at Lanchang and head in the direction of Raub. Signboards point your way to the centre from here. Just before reaching the centre you will pass through an orang asli village.
3. What are the activities conducted at National Elephant Conservation Centre, Lanchang, Pahang?
In the morning, visitors can view the exhibition, video on elephant translocation and watch the elephants roaming in their enclosure. Activities with the elephant start after 2pm. There is a small cafe run by locals nearby where you can get drinks and meals.. Food to feed the elephants is provided, there is no need to bring any of your own.
