All the department development projects are planned and implemented in accordance with the department's objectives and the overall goals of the Malaysia Plan. These projects are implemented through cooperation with Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment (NRE), Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Implementation and Coordination Unit (ICU) and the Public Works Department (PWD/JKR).
