Krau
Wildlife Reserve, Pahang
Grazing
fields have been established at Jenderak Selatan,
Pahang to improve food supply for wild ungulates,
especially gaur. The size of the field is
4ha while the other one at Kuala Senderoh
is 2ha. Both areas are planted with Setaria,
Napier and Guinea grasses. Other than habitat
enrichment, inactive saltlicks will be regenerated
by adding artificial salts. Fruit trees are
also planted around the grazing field including Mertajam, Mata Pelanduk, Tampoi, and Ara to increase the food supply. |

Taman
Negara Pahang National Park
Fruit
trees are grown in Taman Negara Pahang National
Park as an additional food source for wildlife
around grazing fields at Kuala Atok, Chegar
Anjing, Kuala Trenggan and Kuala Tahan. Species
planted include Ara, Terap, Sentul and Mata Pelanduk. |
