The Department promotes
ecotourism activities in protected areas and conservation
centres by the following means:
•
Promote
protected areas and conservation centres as
ecotourism destinations to both local and international
tourists through Tourism Malaysia which is under
the Ministry of Tourism (MoTour) Malaysia.
•
Collection
and update of visitor information records and
analysis of tourist activities at ecotourism
sites managed by the Department.
•
Develop
tourist information for protected areas
•
Produce
ecotourism related publication (brochures, booklets,
leaflets etc) as information sources.
