The Department plans,
implements, monitors and evaluates the sustainable
development and management of ecotourism in protected
areas under the jurisdiction of the Department.
The
programme is divided into three activities namely:

Sustainable
Ecotourism Development Planning - sustainable
development and management of natural ecotourism
products in protected areas and conservation
centres.
•
Ecotourism
Monitoring and Evaluation - monitoring
and evaluation of the development and management
of protected areas as well as local community
participation.
•
Ecotourism
Landscape Design - planning, landscaping
and facility design as well as ecotourism activities
and services design.
